My Name is Tejay Elliott and I am the owner and taxidermist of Trapline Taxidermy and StartUp companies Safari Savant and Hunt The World. I’ve been a full time taxidermist for my entire adult life. After college, I moved to attend Montana School of Taxidermy and Tanning. After completion I traveled and moved to different states working with different taxidermy companies as an employee and contractor. I was the shop foreman for the first international taxidermy company located in Houston, Texas. I’ve either worked or competed in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, and Texas, where I took numerous awards at the state and national level. Those awards include; Best of Category - Blacktail (Oregon), First Place - Blacktail (Oregon), First Place - Mule Deer (Oregon), Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation - Best Elk (Oregon), Horizon Award - Best Upcoming Artist (Oregon), Highest Scoring Research Mannikins Award (Idaho), and Second Place - Lifesize Mountain Lion (Nationals Utah). My inspiration for building Trapline is my growing family, freedom, job creation and travel. We want the hunters experience to end with a great taxidermy product.
